Territorial Agenda - 23.08.2006

Contribute to the elaboration of the Territorial Agenda of the EU
European cities and regions are invited to participate to the consultation on the "Territorial Agenda of the EU" to be adopted at the informal ministerial conference in Leipzig in May 2007.

In 2004, EU ministers agreed on an agenda aiming at a more coherent approach towards territorial development within EU policies. The objective of the Territorial Agenda is to assess the 'Territorial State and Perspectives of the Union" report that will be adopted during the informal EU ministerial meeting on territorial cohesion and urban development in Leipzig.

The Territorial Agenda of the EU consists of a set of recommendations aiming at better utilising territorial diversity and mobilising the potentials of European regions and cities for sustainable economic growth and more jobs.

To contribute to the Territorial Agenda, send your views on the first draft (link below) to the German federal Ministry for traffic, building and town development, by 29 September 2006.
