The Citeair project has developed a web-based interface to compare air quality data from major cities and regions in Europe. The data is presented in a clear way so it can be easily understood by both the wider public and air quality technicians and policy makers.

This website is designed in a flexible manner to accommodate air quality data from a multitude of cities and regions. Citeair is therefore inviting relevant bodies to join the project and have their data published.

In order to give other local and regional authorities the opportunity to come on board, Citeair is organising a workshop on air quality in Europe on 31 March 2006 in Brussels. It will also be an opportunity to officially present the finalised version of the site.

The workshop programme includes representatives from the European Commission and the European Environmental Agency, who will present the developments on the new European air quality legislation and an overview of air quality across Europe.

Citeair s a project carried by a wide network of European cities and regions, financed by the European Commission to develop common measuring solutions for air quality as well as common guidelines to inform professional users and the public on the environmental situation.
