Climate and energy transition

The European Parliament and the Council have adopted the Regulation for extending the programme LIFE III (financing environmental initiatives in Europe) on 12 October 2004.

There are four calls for projects:

1. LIFE-Nature projects (initiatives aimed at protecting natural habitats and biodiversity) deadline for applications : 30 Novembre 2004

2. LIFE-Environment projects (projects on innovative and integrated techniques and methods, on land use and planning, reduction of greenhouse gases, waste recycling and recovery...) deadline: 30 Novembre 2004

3. LIFE-Third countries projects (assistance on environmental administrative and policy capacities) deadline: 31 October 2004

4. LIFE-Environment preparatory projects. Projects exclusively aimed at supporting the development of new environmental policies or updating existing environmental policies. Some areas that can be of interest for local authorities are energy efficiency in buildings and appliances, and fish farming. Deadline: 13 December 2004.
