Twinning - 31.10.2017
Come to the International Town Twinning Conference in Istanbul
What time is it? It’s “Time to Town twinning”: come to the international town twinning conference on 22-23 November in Istanbul.
Historically, town twinning has vitally helped build peace and prosperity in Europe. This month, the Turkish ministry for EU affairs is launching a large scale town twinning project to create networks and partnerships between towns and cities in Turkey and the EU.
At the conference, through workshops, exchanges and Twinning Cafés, discover all the different twinning possibilities for your town, and how to make your twinning experience a success. See the full programme for more details.
What are Twinning Cafés? Face to face interactive exchanges between EU and Turkish towns. At the conference, a series of Twinning Cafés will be set up for you and your possible future twin town or city to discuss project and cooperation ideas.
Useful information
Please register before 10 November. As a European city, your travel and accommodation costs will be covered by the project budget.
All meetings will be conducted in English.
