CEMR Congress - 31.03.2016
The impact of SMART technologies on the municipal budget: join the workshop in Nicosia
Local governments around Europe struggle to offer accessible and qualitative services to their citizens due to limited financial resources. SMART technologies are tools for towns to increase municipal revenue and decrease their expenses.
To discuss this issue, the Uraía Platform is organising a workshop on “The impact of SMART technologies on the municipal budget” on Wednesday 20 April from 9 to 11.30 am at the CEMR Congress in Nicosia.
The goal of the workshop is to exchange experiences on how SMART technologies are used to improve tax recovery and increase energy efficiency, and how these experiences produce an impact on the municipal budget to allow better services for all citizens. At the end of the workshop, the shared experiences will be collected in a document.
The workshop is organised by UN-Habitat and FMDV in collaboration with CEMR, Citynet and the UCLG Committee on Digital Cities.
