Aalborg+10 : 4th conference on Sustainable Cities and Towns
CEMR is organising, together with the city of Aalborg and ICLEI, the 4th European conference on Sustainable Cities and Towns, in Aalborg, Denmark, 9 -11 June 2004.

More than 1,000 delegates are expected, most representing municipalities from about 30 European states.

The central outcome of the Aalborg+10 conference will be the final declaration, the Aalborg Commitments. It will consist of a set of shared commitments to be jointly implemented by local governments across Europe. The Aalborg Commitments are designed as a flexible tool, they ask local government to set clear qualitative and quantitative targets to implement the urban sustainability principles of the Aalborg charter.

Over 250 stakeholders replied to the call for concrete examples of municipal realisations to be presented in the course of the conference!
