The final report of CEMR's network LOGON (Local Government Network) is available.

 

The 300 page long report covers issues of interest to local government from new member states and candidate countries (and others) such as implementing the acquis communautaire at local and regional level, a guide on services of general interest and state aid, public-private partnerships, public governance and human resource management, communication, impact of the enlargement at local level...

LOGON was founded within CEMR in 1998, on the initiative of Austria, Sweden and Finland. Its main aim was to help municipalities from candidate countries prepare for EU accession. The 2005 final report includes a full history of LOGON.
