Energy efficiency

The province of Rovigo and ICLEI - Local Governments for Sustainability are organising a conference "Climate Protection and Renewable Energy: Medium and Small Communities facing the Challenge", from 2 to 4 April 2008, in Rovigo (Italy).

 

The conference will explore climate protection in small and medium sized communities that are starting up in this important field. The main objective of the event is to develop capacity of political decision-makers and municipal officers who need to become involved in community climate protection action. Several advanced local governments will share their experiences - showing how they have achieved results in the fields of climate protection and renewable energy.

 

Participants will include local elected representatives from all over Europe, as well as representatives from the European Commission and from the United Nations.

 

The Council of European Municipalities and Regions (CEMR) is one of the cooperation partners of the conference.
