Conference on sustainable city development (Malmö, 14-15 juin 2005)

The municipality of Malmö will host the conference on sustainable city development on 14/15 June 2005.

Key speakers will include Ilmar Reepalu, chairman of the Malmö city executive board; Mona Sahlin, Swedish minister for sustainable development; Elliot Morley, UK minister for the environment as well as representatives from the European Commission and of the private sector.

Several workshops will take place on themes such as mainstreaming sustainability, rationalizing energy use, sustainable waste management...

The conference will take place at Malmö university; it will open on 14 June at 10:30 and close on 15 June at 16:00.
