The future of rural areas - 14.02.2007
What are Europe's aims for the future of rural areas? (conference: 12/03/07)
RURAL INNOVA, the European exchange network on innovative rural development, is organising a conference on the future of rural areas, in Brussels, on 12 March 2007.
During this event, the general conclusions and recommendations of the project will be presented via a common political declaration, along with the guidelines envisaged for perpetuating, reinforcing and expanding the partnership dynamic that has been put in place.
What prospects for interregional cooperation for rural areas for the period 2007-2013? What will be the future of rural development after the European budget reform in 2009? These are some of the questions RURAL INNOVA will raise during the conference.
Participants will include Michel Dellebarre, President of the Committee of the Regions; Jean-Paul Denanot, President of the Regional Council of Limousin and vice-president of the French section of the Council of European Municipalities and Regions (AFCCRE); as well as various institutional representatives from the European Union and from local and regional governments.
