A red card for waste: 7th international conference on waste management (28-30/11/05, Vienna)
The 7th international conference on waste management, entitled -A red card for waste' will be held on 28-29-30 November 2005, in Vienna. The main aim of the conference is to analyze waste management from different angles and to exchange best practices.
 
Speakers will include Member of the European Paliament Hannes Swoboda; Director of the New York City Department of Sanitation and Waste Disposal Martin Bellew; Vice President of the City of Cracow Tadeusz Trzmiel, as well as various international waste management experts.
 
On Monday 28 and Tuesday 29 November, speakers will focus on the challenges of waste management and the experts will present various cases of international best practices. Room will be left for the audience to participate in panel discussions.

On Wednesday 30 November, two in-depth workshops will be organized:
. Strategic environmental assessment - a waste management planning tool
. Littering - best practice examples of how to reduce littering
