Sustainable territorial and local development

The European Commission has published to its Members States the guidelines for a Community initiative concerning trans-European cooperation intended to encourage harmonious and balanced development of the European territory.

 

The Commission's aim is to prevent that the cooperation between European regions is slow down by the national barriers.

 

The cross-border, transnational and interregional cooperation are the core points of the publication. The Commission lays down also the guidelines for the preparation, the presentation, the approval and the financing of the interventions.

 

The document is available in all languages of the European Union.
