CEMR congress - 14.12.2016
Innsbruck to host 2020 CEMR congress
The 27th edition of the CEMR congress will be hosted by the city of Innsbruck in 2020.
This decision was adopted unanimously by the members of CEMR's Policy Committee in Maastricht, from 12 to 13 December 2016. Upon this occasion, the mayor of Innsbruck, Christine Oppitz-Plörer, presented the qualities of the city, which has "a unique urban-alpine scenery".
Innsbruck is no stranger to CEMR: in May 2006, Innsbruck hosted the 23rd CEMR general assembly, with 1200 participants from 36 European countries.
The mayor of Innsbruck, Christine Oppitz-Plörer, is also the chair of CEMR’s Financial Management Committee; recently elected at the occasion of our Policy Committee in Maastricht.
The last CEMR congress took place in Nicosia, in April 2016.
