Is local government overcontrolled? Find the answers during our next a conference on local autonomy
The Observatory on Local Administration (OLA) and CEMR invite you to participate in a conference to discuss the different modalities of administrative, democratic and financial control mechanisms having an impact on local and regional government.

The conference entitled “A threat to autonomy? Control and supervision of local and regional government activities”, will be held on 26 and 27 June in Erlangen and Nuremberg (Germany). It will address the various mechanisms of supervision - for instance, the coordination of national budgetary policies within the eurozone (Stability and Growth Pact) or the EU competition rules - that influence the way local and regional governments manage their own resources.

This two-day event will gather local elected representatives, academics, experts from national associations of local government and experts on local autonomy.
