Intergenerational dialogue

The deadline to participate in the 2012 European Year for Active Ageing and Solidarity between Generations competition is fast approaching.  Do not forget to submit your candidacy before Saturday 1 September 2012.

As part of the 2012 European Year, the European Commission has launched this competition in order to celebrate the commitment of organisations, including local and regional authorities, and individuals to promoting active ageing and solidarity between generations.

The EY2012 Awards, of which CEMR is a partner, includes six categories: Workplaces for all Ages, Towards Age-Friendly Environment, Social Entrepreneurs, Reporting on Ageing and Relations between Generations, Life Story Challenge, Generations@school.

The finalists in each category will be invited to the EY2012 Active Ageing Awards ceremony, which is planned to take place in Brussels in November.  The competition is open to all citizens of EU Member States.
