Cohesion policy

The RegioNetwork 2020, a professional social networking platform for cooperation and the exchange of good practices between European regions and the regional policy community, is now online.

This site,.which is open to anyone who has an interest in the EU and regional development, also allows users to set up and contribute to thematic groups, to create profiles for a region or for an individual, and to follow up on their activities.

The European Commission -s Directorate General for Regional Policy set up this network in the hopes that it will contribute to the Europe 2020 strategy by involving local and regional stakeholders in the drafting, development and implementation of policy.

The website's main content is available in English but users may upload information in other EU languages.

RegioNetwork was launched by Regional Policy Commissioner, Johannes Hahn, at the occasion of the Open Days 2010 on 6 October 2010.
