The guide to the programme "Europe for citizens" 2007-2013 now available in 15 languages
The European Commission has published online four new language versions of the guide to the programme "Europe for citizens" 2007-2013 which is now available in 15 languages including Czech, Slovak, Finnish and Spanish.
The guide has been published for municipalities and cities wishing to participate in town twinning activities. It includes the actions funded under the programme, the priority themes, the eligibility criteria as well as the budgets allocated to town twinning.
The programme "Europe for citizens" will be officially launched on 10 May 2007 in Brussels. It will coincide with CEMR's conference "Twinning for tomorrow's world" which will take place in Rhodes, from 10-12 May 2007. More information on the conference is available on CEMR's website.

Background information
Town twinning aims to promote direct exchanges between European citizens and encourage the organisation of conferences or seminars on subjects of common interest to EU citizens. Its goal is also to contribute to strengthening mutual knowledge and understanding between the citizens.
