The European Parliament has a new website. Its president, Josep Borell, says that the new website aims first and foremost at being more accessible to a wider audience.

 

The EP website has twenty language versions; it is divided in four parts: a horizontal bar enables webusers to understand better the Parliament (how does it work? What do members of the Parliament do...?), the center part features recent news about the European Parliament, the left-hand bar is divided in fields of activity on which the EP works (the environment, public services...), and the right-hand bar is mainly about the EU in general.

 

The launch of the new website, on 12 September, was the occasion of a debate at the Parliament on the digital society.
