Britain, one of the worst records of regional inequalities in Europe
The United Kingdom is ranked second only to Mexico as the country with the worst regional inequalities in the industrialised world.
It is one the conclusions of the Poverty : the facts 2002-2003 report published by Child Poverty Action Group on 9 March 2004.
It claims that each region and country in the UK contains areas and cities with different poverty levels ; Wales as a whole is poorer than Great Britain ; A third of people in Inner London live below the poverty line...
