Congress of European Municipalities and Regions

The Council of European Municipalities and Regions (CEMR) is sending out a call for candidacies to European cities and regions to host its 24th general assembly in 2009. The host city or region for the 2009 general assembly will be chosen at CEMR's general assembly in Innsbruck, in May 2006.

 

CEMR's general assembly brings together 1000 local and regional representatives from all over Europe, for three days. The main selection criteria are
 

- proximity to an international airport,
- hotel capacities,
- equipment available for the holding of the congress.
