If you watch the news, you might get a rather gloomy picture of the state of our environment.

But there is also a very bright side: all over Europe, towns and cities are taking significant action for environment protection. The European Green Leaf and European Green Capital rewards these towns and cities that are stepping up for our planet.

What about your city? If it is working to protect the environment, you could win the European Green Leaf competition, and obtain € 75,000 for local environmental programmes in the process!

If your city has more than 100,000 inhabitants, it could be the next European Green Capital, and win a financial incentive of € 350,000. Make sure you apply by 14 October 2019!
