The first conference on European fluvial cities will take place in Sevilla between 30 Sept and 2 October 2004.

 

Four themes will be developped throughout the conference :

 

. Rivers as the image of cities and their relationship with tourism activities.

. Rivers as productive spaces.

. Rivers as cultural spaces and venues

. Rivers as natural spaces

 

The conference will be a showcase for the most advanced European experiences, with contributions from Florence, Madrid, Rome, Lyon, London, and Seville. Associations and resident's associations, ecologists, consumers and users, professional institutes, companies, unions and relevant administrative bodies will all have the opportunity to interchange ideas, proposals, diagnoses and hopes for the future.
