Urban Agenda for the EU - 19.02.2014
CEMR meets with MEPs to discuss a future EU urban agenda
The EU must take into consideration the diversity on the ground to set up an urban agenda by involving municipalities of all sizes (small, medium and large) as well as the linkages between urban and rural areas. This call is one of the key messages addressed by CEMR during a meeting between local elected representatives and MEPs at the European Parliament on 19 February 2014.
During the event local elected representatives and MEPs have discussed the implementation of an urban agenda at the EU level, with a bottom-up approach. This appointment takes place following a series of debates organised by the European Commission on 17 and 18 February 2014.
