European Commission launches its manual on 'ecological public procurement"
The European Commission's DG Environment will launch its manual on ecological public procurements on 29 October 2004. The event will take place in Brussels, in the Bâtiment Charlemagne (Métro Schuman), in the presence of EU Environment Commissioner Margot Wallström.
The aim of the manual is to explain as simply as possible how public authorities (local government, ministries”¦) can purchase what they need while respecting the environment. To illustrate the subject, examples of environmental best practice will be presented after the launch.
