Local and regional governments as employers

CEMR's working group on Employment and social policy is organising a seminar on Equal and local authorites, in Brussels on 19 March 2004.

Equal is the EU programme against discrimination in the work environment.

The seminar will be presided by the chair of CEMR's working group on Employment and social policy, Dr Matthias Schulze-Boïng. Several municipalities will present their respective experience in the field of Equal, and representatives from the European Commission and the European Parliament will attend.

The seminar is open to all; debates and speeches will all be in English.
